Description

Discover the refreshing delight of Violet Lemonade, a vibrant and easy-to-make summer drink that will transport your taste buds to a whimsical garden. Infused with the subtle floral notes of lavender and the tangy brightness of lemon, this beautiful beverage is a perfect thirst-quencher for any warm-weather occasion.

Ingredients

– 1/2 cup fresh lemon juice (about 4-5 lemons)

– 1/2 cup granulated sugar

– 4 cups water

– 1/4 cup fresh lavender buds

Instructions

1. In a medium saucepan, combine the lemon juice and sugar. Bring to a simmer, stirring occasionally, until the sugar has fully dissolved. Remove from heat and let cool to room temperature.

2. In a large pitcher, muddle the lavender buds with a wooden spoon to release their oils and aroma.

3. Add the cooled lemon-sugar syrup and water to the pitcher with the muddled lavender. Stir well to combine.

4. Refrigerate the Violet Lemonade for at least 2 hours, or until chilled.

5. Serve the Violet Lemonade over ice, garnished with a lemon slice and a sprig of lavender.

Notes

For a more intense lavender flavor, you can steep the lavender buds in the lemon-sugar syrup for 30 minutes before straining. You can also experiment with different types of edible flowers, such as rose petals or chamomile, to create unique variations.
