Description

Indulge in the decadent flavors of Truffle Mushroom & Gruyere, a quick and easy dish that’s perfect for any occasion. Savor the rich, creamy goodness of sautéed mushrooms in a truffle-infused sauce, topped with melted Gruyere cheese for an irresistible comfort food experience.

Ingredients

– 1 pound cremini mushrooms, sliced

– 2 tablespoons unsalted butter

– 1 clove garlic, minced

– 1/2 cup heavy cream

– 1 tablespoon truffle oil

– 1 teaspoon dried thyme

– 1/2 teaspoon salt

– 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

– 1 cup shredded Gruyere cheese

Instructions

1. In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium-high heat.

2. Add the sliced mushrooms and sauté for 5-7 minutes, until they are tender and browned.

3. Add the minced garlic and sauté for an additional minute, until fragrant.

4. Pour in the heavy cream and stir in the truffle oil, dried thyme, salt, and black pepper. Simmer for 2-3 minutes, until the sauce thickens slightly.

5. Remove the skillet from heat and sprinkle the shredded Gruyere cheese over the top.

6. Place the skillet under the broiler for 2-3 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

7. Serve the Truffle Mushroom & Gruyere hot, garnished with additional fresh thyme if desired.

Notes

For extra depth of flavor, use a combination of mushroom varieties, such as cremini, shiitake, and oyster. Garnish with chopped parsley or chives for a pop of color. Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days and reheated gently on the stovetop or in the oven.
