Description

These crispy Sesame Crusted Salmon Patties are a delightful and easy-to-make main dish that’s ready in just 30 minutes. The salmon fillets are flaked and combined with breadcrumbs, sesame seeds, and seasonings, then pan-fried to perfection for a satisfying and flavor-packed meal.

Ingredients

– 1 pound salmon fillets, skin removed and flaked

– 1 cup panko breadcrumbs

– 1/2 cup sesame seeds

– 2 eggs, beaten

– 2 tablespoons mayonnaise

– 1 teaspoon garlic powder

– 1/2 teaspoon onion powder

– 1/4 teaspoon salt

– 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

1. In a large bowl, combine the flaked salmon, panko breadcrumbs, sesame seeds, beaten eggs, mayonnaise, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well until all the ingredients are evenly incorporated.

2. Form the mixture into 6 equal-sized patties, about 1/2 inch thick.

3. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add 2 tablespoons of olive oil or vegetable oil.

4. Working in batches if necessary, carefully add the salmon patties to the hot oil and cook for 3-4 minutes per side, or until golden brown and crispy.

5. Transfer the cooked patties to a paper towel-lined plate to drain any excess oil.

6. Serve the Sesame Crusted Salmon Patties immediately, garnished with lemon wedges and your favorite sides.

Notes

For a healthier option, bake the patties in the oven at 400°F for 12-15 minutes, flipping halfway through, instead of pan-frying.
