Description
Loaded Totchos (Tater Tot Nachos) are the ultimate quick and easy appetizer that’s bursting with flavor. Crispy tater tots are piled high with melted cheese, spicy ground beef, cool sour cream, and fresh pico de gallo for a delicious twist on classic nachos.
Ingredients
– 32 ounces frozen tater tots
– 1 pound ground beef
– 1 packet taco seasoning
– 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
– 1 cup sour cream
– 1 cup diced tomatoes
– 1/2 cup chopped green onions
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 425°F. Spread the tater tots in a single layer on a large baking sheet.
2. Bake the tater tots for 20-25 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden brown and crispy.
3. Meanwhile, in a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned and crumbled. Drain any excess fat, then stir in the taco seasoning and 2 tablespoons water. Simmer for 2-3 minutes until thickened.
4. Spread the crispy tater tots onto a large oven-safe serving platter or baking dish. Top with the cooked ground beef, shredded cheddar cheese, sour cream, diced tomatoes, and chopped green onions.
5. Return the loaded totchos to the oven and bake for an additional 5-7 minutes, or until the cheese is melted.
6. Serve the loaded totchos immediately, garnished with extra toppings if desired. Enjoy!
Notes
These loaded totchos are the perfect game day or party appetizer. For an even heartier dish, you can add diced avocado, jalapeños, or black olives as toppings. Leftover totchos can be stored in the refrigerator for 3-4 days and reheated in the oven or microwave.
