Description

Indulge in the perfect balance of sweet peaches and creamy ice cream with this easy homemade Peach Cobbler Ice Cream recipe. Enjoy a taste of summer in every scoop!

Ingredients

– 2 cups heavy cream

– 1 cup whole milk

– 3/4 cup granulated sugar

– 1/4 teaspoon salt

– 3 ripe peaches, peeled, pitted, and chopped (about 1 1/2 cups)

– 1 cup all-purpose flour

– 1/2 cup granulated sugar

– 1/2 cup unsalted butter, cubed

– 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Instructions

1. In a medium saucepan, combine the heavy cream, milk, 3/4 cup sugar, and salt. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the sugar has dissolved and the mixture is hot but not boiling, about 5 minutes.

2. Remove the saucepan from the heat and let the mixture cool to room temperature. Then cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or until completely chilled.

3. In a food processor, pulse the flour, 1/2 cup sugar, butter, and cinnamon until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Transfer to a baking sheet and bake at 375°F for 12-15 minutes, until golden brown. Let cool completely.

4. Once the cream mixture is chilled, pour it into an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer’s instructions, about 20-25 minutes. During the last 5 minutes of churning, add the chopped peaches.

5. Transfer the ice cream to a freezer-safe container and fold in the cooled cobbler crumbs. Cover and freeze for at least 2 hours before serving.

Notes

For a more intense peach flavor, you can add a teaspoon of peach extract to the ice cream mixture. The cobbler crumbs can be made in advance and stored in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 1 week.
