Description

Homemade Gummy Bears are a delightful, chewy treat that are surprisingly easy to make at home. With just a few simple ingredients, you can create professional-quality gummy candies in a variety of fun flavors and colors.

Ingredients

– 3 envelopes unflavored gelatin

– 1 cup fruit juice or puree

– 1/2 cup granulated sugar

– 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)

– Food coloring (optional)

Instructions

1. In a medium saucepan, sprinkle the gelatin over the fruit juice and let sit for 5 minutes to bloom.

2. Add the sugar and place the saucepan over medium heat, stirring constantly until the gelatin and sugar have completely dissolved, about 5-7 minutes.

3. Remove the saucepan from the heat and stir in the vanilla extract, if using. Add food coloring a few drops at a time until desired color is achieved.

4. Lightly grease a silicone gummy bear mold or 8×8 inch baking pan. Carefully pour the gummy mixture into the prepared mold or pan.

5. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or until the gummies are firm.

6. Gently pop the gummies out of the mold or cut into squares if using a baking pan. Enjoy!

Notes

– For best texture, use 100% fruit juice or puree. Avoid using juice cocktails or drinks with added sugars.

– Experiment with different fruit flavors like orange, lemon, berry, or even a combination.

– Store gummy bears in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.
