Description

Indulge in the perfect balance of sweet and savory with this easy Candied Yams Recipe. Caramelized to perfection, these buttery, melt-in-your-mouth yams are the ultimate holiday side dish.

Ingredients

– 3 pounds sweet potatoes, peeled and cut into 1-inch cubes

– 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

– 1/2 cup brown sugar

– 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

– 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg

– 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

1. Preheat the oven to 375°F.

2. In a large bowl, toss the sweet potato cubes with the melted butter, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt until well coated.

3. Spread the coated sweet potato cubes in a single layer on a large baking sheet.

4. Bake for 30-35 minutes, stirring halfway, until the yams are tender and caramelized.

5. Serve hot and enjoy!

Notes

For a richer flavor, use salted butter. You can also add a splash of orange juice or bourbon to the glaze. Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.
